Moved here to Sterling about 2 months ago from Denver after arriving to the states from Leon Guanjuato MX in 2010 and this has to be in top 3 mexican restaurants ive tried so far here that are actually authentic and good! Atomsphere is great and place is always so clean, the workers are so nice and can speak both English and spanish which is awesome. The way they do steak/ carne asada here beats out every other “mexican” place here in sterling in flavor and portion so please check this place out if you can its so good! Only thing id recommend is for them to spice up their “hottest” sauce a bit more but thats just my personal preference so it really doesn’t matter. 10/10 overall
Went in for a quick bite last night. Haven’t really been before & that was a non-issue because our server Leslie was phenomenal. Suggested the the nightly special & I enjoyed it. The margaritas were top notch, which Leslie also suggested. Will return. Good food and GREAT staff.
New location ( 4 months ) service was very friendly and fast. Waiter was attentive and helpful. Had the enchilads with green sauce they were flavorful spicy but not too hot about a 3 out of 5 peppers on a lightweights scale. A full plate that filled me up. I will be coming back.
Enjoyed an order of steak tacos and a crispy relleno (apologies for no picture of the relleno). Delicious. I also really enjoyed the creamy avocado dip and the salsa. The tacos were meaty, flavorful, with plenty of onion and cilantro. Amazing. The relleno was perfect, crisp and light breading holding in a moist and delicious chile, stuffed with oozing creamy cheese. Fantastic.
Food was soooooo good! Delicious in fact! They need to fix the air conditioner- way to hot in there!
Very pleased with the food and service from the times I've gone. The first time I went was with a few family members. One of them had been before at the previous location and said they didn't like the food, didn't think it was good, but was willing to try it again. We all got different things to eat so we tried each other's and everyone thought everything was really good! Was delicious actually! Our server that night told us it was new management and staff since they relocated and from what other's said, that's made a huge difference, much better! I'm glad I finally went and that it was since they relocated and made changes. Probably my favorite Mexican restaurant in town now!
If you have not eaten aEl Jacal in awhile it is definitely time to go back. My family had great food there tonight. Authentic corn chips are always a Bonus. The Daily Specials are such a great Deal. We will be going back soon
Amazing staff and huge portions of food. Definitely recommend this place. Priced Right for the amount of food you get. The Fresh Fruit Sopapilla's are to die for. Not only fresh fruit but drizzled with honey and topped with real whipped cream.
